A Tree Reprieve

You may recall that earlier in the year the farmer was threatening to cut down the greengage tree if it did not produce this year. You will be pleased to know that a reprieve may be about to happen. It may not be much but the other day I picked these.


Yes I know. They do look a bit scruffy. Believe me they tasted beautiful!

    I don't know anything about greengage. I think I need to google it.

      They are a plum. Personally I prefer them which is why we planted a tree soon after we got married. It has not been as productive as we may have wanted!

    Love greengages but not often around in the shops and not sure if I have seen at all in US. Those do look as if they have been in the wars a bit but as long as the taste was good..
