Welsh Poppies

A couple of years ago a friend gave me some Welsh Poppy seeds. I had admired them in her garden and in several other locations. I tried germinating them in a seed tray and also scattered some straight on the ground. I had no success and eventually chucked the tray of seed compost onto the garden.

I was obviously not patient enough as this year one plant has grown!

It has been flowering continually since.
